I am looking for a Jacob Sample whose property was sold to settle his estate, in 1829. This was in Jefferson Co., IN - Saluda is or was a township of Jefferson Co. The Jacob Sample who died in 1829 may be my gggggrandfather. I have found a Jacob Sample in Woodford Co., KY in the 1810 census. He had one son under age 10, too old to be the one you're looking for. But I wonder if yours might be a younger son, possibly born in 1827? My ggggrandmother was Mary Jane Sample who married one of the many Thomas Davises in Jefferson Co. There also was an Elizabeth Sample in Jefferson Co.
