A Sample with Buffalo Bill
Posted by: Charles Sample (ID *****2471) Date: April 21, 2003 at 11:00:36

In his autobiography, William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody states "a Chicago pary, friends of General Sheridan, arrived at Fort McPherson for the purpose of going on a hunt." One of the members of this party which Buffalo Bill guided was Alexander Sample. This occurred in the fall of 1872. During the hunt, Buffalo Bill, Alexander Sample, and one other member of the group had a brush with Indians.

Does anyone know who this Alexander Sample was or have any additional information about him?
