My gggrandmother was Maria (pronounced Mariah)Sams. Married James W. McClanahan of Athens Co. Ohio. She was the daughter of James Sams and Granddaughter of Peter Sams. All buried in the Clarks Chapel Cemetary Outside Athens, Ohio. This is also the church that Peter Sams and family helped to start. If you send me particulars I could probably send more info.
