First Generation

1. George SALMON. (Son of William SAMMONS and Rebecca (perhaps Ivey, although I am inclined to think she married an Ivey before marrying William)
George SALMON was born on February 4, 1754 in Amelia County, Virginia. George died in Greenville District, South Carolina on August 18, 1837, he was 83. Buried in George Salmon Cemetery, Greenville County, South Carolina.
On March 10, 1785 when George was 31, he married Elizabeth YOUNG, daughter of John YOUNG Sr. (about1736/1742-April 6, 1807) & Margaret WOOD (-May 23, 1814). Born on December 22, 1758 in Frederick County, Virginia. Elizabeth died in Near Versailles, Morgan County, Missouri on October 24, 1849, she was 90.
They had the following children:

4 iii. Harriet (1791-1845)
5 iv. Mary "Polly" (1794-1851)
6 v. William H. (1796-1863)
7 vi. Ezekiel (Ezekial) James (1798-1851)
vii. George Young. Born on October 25, 1800. George Young died in Jackson, Mississippi on July 25, 1822, he was 21.

2. John W. SALMON. Born on July 18, 1786 in South Carolina. John W. died in 1844, he was 57.
John W. first married Sarah W. SMITH.
about 1801 when John W. was 14, he second married Elizabeth WALKER. Born on February 5, 1785. Elizabeth died in 1832/1840, she was 46.
They had the following children:

ii. Mary "Polly"Young
iii. Sally

v. Jenny

vii. Patsey
viii. Nancy Young

3. Margaret P. SALMON. Born on May 30, 1788 in Greenville District, South Carolina. Margaret P. died on April 2, 1860, she was 71.
On March 24, 1803 when Margaret P. was 14, she married John M. MASSEY, son of MASSEY & (Massey, wife of), in Greenville County, South Carolina. Born on February 3, 1778 in North Carolina. John M. died in Texas on October 2, 1862, he was 84.
They had the following children:
i. Juliette Y. (1804-1853)
ii. Emily Mandaville (1826-1883)
4. Harriet SALMON. Born on December 27, 1791. Harriet died in 1845, she was 53.
On August 27, 1809 when Harriet was 17, she married William FORD, son of Major John FORD & (Ford, John, Major - Wife of). Born in 1785 in Greenville District, South Carolina. William died in Travis County, Texas on October 14, 1866, he was 81. Buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Travis County, Texas.
They had the following children:

5. Mary "Polly" SALMON. Born on April 17, 1794 in South Carolina. Mary "Polly" died in perhaps Cass County, Texas in 1851, she was 56.
On August 27, 1809 when Mary "Polly" was 15, she married Major Peter EDWARDS, son of Thomas EDWARDS III (April 10, 1762-August 7, 1832) & Mary Ann McCLANAHAN. Born on October 4, 1788 in Greenville District, South Carolina. Peter died in Courtland, Cass County, Texas on March 2, 1877, he was 88.
They had the following children:
i. Eliza Wilson
ii. Sarah Young (1812-1879)
iii. Elizabeth (1814-1885)
iv. Harriet (1817-)
v. Frances Wickcliff (1819-)
vi. Mary Anne McClanahan (1822-1892)
6. Dr. William H. SALMON. Born on July 23, 1796 in South Carolina. William H. died on June 16, 1863, he was 66.
On July 21, 1826 when William H. was 29, he married Eliza Bird HANSELL, daughter of John Walker HANSELL (March 10, 1782-October 26, 1866) & Orpha Hite WOOD (December 1, 1788-November 1, 1865), in Greenville County, South Carolina. Born on January 7, 1807 in Greenville County, South Carolina. Eliza Bird died on November 19, 1872, she was 65.
They had the following children:

On December 28, 1824 when Ezekiel (Ezekial) James was 26, he married Narcissa Ragsdale MERRITT, daughter of Wheaton MERRITT & Sarah "Sallie" BARTON (February 2, 1774-). Born in 1805. Narcissa Ragsdale died on May 15, 1845, she was 40.
They had the following children:
