Evelyn,
I do not know where some of the information
you are talking about came from. I have seen
it also. I do know that my 2nd cousin did some research on this family over 25 yrs ago.
He has passed away so there is no asking him. I do have some of his records. He was a
very meticulous researcher. He shows Benjamin
not Benjamin Seaborn as the husband of Nancy Williams. He doesn't show a James, but he does show a Seaborn b 1805-07 in Jeff Co.It
is possible for children to be born before their parents marriage. It happened a lot even in those days. He does show a William m to a Setilla, which has sometimes been interpreted as Celitta. I have also seen this name interpreted as Solity. I do know that she appears in 1850 Jef Co census w/o a husband with 3 children. Where do you suppose she came from? Seaborn and Benjamin are next to her so that would imply that they were related. Which Sammons was she married to or is she a Sammons child that
had children w/o marriage? Do youknow who the father of the benjamin who married Nancy
Williams is?
I am only looking for the truth in all of this. I see no point in passing out any misinformation.
