Your message (#24) says you know about the sons of Mortimer Sammis. I am interested in anything you can tell me about the son GEORGE SAMMIS b ca 1862, who married Flora Kate CARLL(1854-ca1934)and according to census lived Lemmas in Plymouth Co IA in 1900. Did they have any children and if so, who and where?
Flora Carll Sammis is younger sister my gt-grandmother Harriet Carll who married Jacob Coffman and moved to Emporia KA area. They were daus of Lyman and Almira Cooper Carll who arrived Ogle Co from NY ca 1847. I have the Carll family history back to pioneer ancestor in mid-1600s.
Has been no contact my line with the Sammis and other sisters who married Brand, Gregory and Mayhew for over a century. Hoping to located Sammis descendants for leads to other sisters and on their mothers Cooper family. Do you by chance have anthing related families. Will share what I have. Many many thanks. Bill
