George SALTER, b.1892, became a British Home Child, left Liverpool, England, 1903,for Canada on S.S. Dominion, with one of Dr. Barnardo's groups, destination- Montreal, Quebec. We have been unable to discover his whereabouts between 1903 and 1911 when he was found on the Canadian census working/living with John C. Nelson family at Claresholm, Alberta. He left Calgary in April, 1912, crossing at Sweetgrass, Montana into USA. He petitioned for Naturalization April 29, 1918,in Tacoma, Washington. He d. Oct. 04, 1918, Corporal US army, & is buried in France. Dr. Barnardo's have no information re. George after his arrival in Canada. We would appreciate any information or suggestions to help us fill in George's life from his arrival in 1903 till 1911. Thank you.
