Dear Salois Relations,

I am the grandson of the the Archie Salois (AKA Archie Salois, Sr) mentioned in line 42:

Marriage Notes for Millie Salois and Lawrence Salois:
Their fathers were brothers, so they were first cousins.

42 vi. Archie Salois, born Abt. 1887.
43 vii. Robert Salois, born 1889. He married Mable Davis; born Jun 25, 1885 in Robare, Montana.

This information may not be correct. According to my understanding, Archie and Robert "Bob" Salois were the children, among others, of Gabriel Salois and Betsy McGillis. Also, the date of birth is incorrect for Archie Salois. He was born around 1899-1901 and died (possibly of peritonitis) in Browning,, MT in 1936 at the age of 36 or 37 after surgery to remove his appendix.

My mother, Mavis Salois, was Archie's daughter and she always referred to Millie Salois as 'Aunt Millie.' It would be interesting if Millie and Lawrence were indeed the mother and father of Bob and Archie.

Can anyone tell me where the information regarding Archie's and Bob's parents was found. I am very interested because there is some mystery about Bob and Archie as well as several other ancestors of mine in the Salois line. I am trying to determine several things:

1. Does anyone know where Archie Salois was born so that I can find a birth and/or baptismal certificate. I have found his death certificate.

2. Does anyone know where Archie Salois (Sr.) was buried. I know the general area at the old Browning graveyard near the turnoff to East Glacier but I do not know the exact grave site. My mother showed it to me when I was younger but I didn't pay too close attention.
