Levi Salmons/Salmans of DE - Irish descent?

Has anybody discovered the European ancestry of Levi Salmons of Delaware?

I've recently had DNA testing done through familytreedna.com and found a perfect match on my paternal line to 2 descendants of Levi.

My paternal line is "Reidy/Reedy" from Ireland and then Massachusetts, and theirs of course is "Salmans" of Delaware. The DNA results for several other Salmons/Salmans, etc. families do not all point to the same ancestor either. Perhaps there was an informal adoption, etc, because the Levi Salmans family and the Reidy family have somebody in common on both of our paternal lines.

The geography for our families doesn't match so I'd think the link would be Ireland.

If other Levi S. descendants are interested in DNA testing, there would be a discount using the Salmons/Salmans, etc. family group at familytreedna.com.

Lastly, where did the middle name "Reed" come from in some of Levi's descendants?
