SALMON b.16 Oct 1888 d. 1 Jan 1968 Clovis, NM m. 15 Mar 1916 in Kiowa, KS Zetta Lee SMITH b. 7 Feb 1894 Bowling Green, KY d. 17 Aug 1977 Kiowa, Barber Co. KS at age 83. Zetta Smith was the daughter of Ben and Mary Goodpasture Smith.Zetta Salmon is buried in Riverview Cemetery, Kiowa, Barber Co. KS. Concluding Service: Riverview Cemetery, Kiowa, KS The obituary for Zetta (Smith) Salmon read: Rev. Charles Hadley of the United Methodist Church officiated at funeral services for Mrs. Zetta Salmon held Sat at 10 am in the Fisher Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Salmon, a resident of Kiowa for 75 yrs died at the Kiowa Manor Wed Aug 17 at the age of 83 yrs. Interment was in Riverview cemetery. Zetta Lee Smith was born Feb 7, 1894, in Bowling Green, Ky the daughter of Ben and Mary Goodpasture Smith. Zetta came to live in Kiowa in 1902. On Mar 15, 1916 she was united in marriage with Oscar B. Salmon at Kiowa. She was an accomplished seamstress and did clothing alterations for Hahn Clothing and Art Cleaners for many years. She was a 61 yr member of the Kiowa United Methodist Church and a 50 yr member of O.E.S. Chapter 330. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Oscar, who died Jan 1, 1968. Her survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gracia Waite, Sunrise Beach, MO, and Mrs. Margaret Weinberger, San Francisco; one sister Mrs. Ollie Mae Tipton of Clovis, New Mexico; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The obituary for Oscar Salmon read: Oscar B. Salmon, former resident of Kiowa, died suddenly in Clovis, New Mexico Jan. 1 where he and Mrs. Salmon were visiting relatives. He lived in Kiowa from 1907 to 1959, when he retired and they moved to Berkeley, CA. While there he was engaged in farming. They were on their way home after an extended visit with relatives and friends. They arrived in Kansas City Oct 15, attended a granddaughter’s wedding Nov 4th. Then they spent some time in Kiowa before going back to Kansas City for Christmas, after which they went to Clovis to visit Mrs. Salmon’s brother, Mr. and Mrs. T.D. Smith, and her sister, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Tipton. He was born Oct 16 1888. The funeral service will be held in the Hill Funeral Home Chapel, Sat Jan. 6 at 10:30 a.m. Rev Floyd Sibley will officiate. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Survivors include his widow Zetta; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Margaret) Weinberger, Berkeley, CA, and Mrs. Robert (Gracia) Waite of Kansas City; a sister Mrs. Raymond H. (Inez) Miller of Oakland, CA. Oscar and Zetta Salmon had two daughters: Margaret SALMON m. Herbert WEINBERGER Gracia M. SALMON b. 13 Apr 1918 d. 23 May 1999 Sunrise Beach, Camden Co MO m. Robert F.
