Horace C. Palmer was my great grandfather. I wouldn't know if he's who you're searching on.
Horace C. Palmer b. 07/12/1858, d. 01/16/1927 married Mary E. Smith, b. 08/19/1858, d. 10/29/1953. As for a location, I know that one of their sons, (my grandfather) was born in Stockholm, NY.
I haven't been able to find anything out about their ancestry. All the family records that my grandmother had were destroyed in a flood.
Horace and Mary had 10 sons that I know of, and one daughter. I have a copy of an old photo of them with their children.
Their sons were, Marvin, Irl (Earl), Herbert, George, Irwin (Ing), Harry, Carl, Dan, Gay (Dote), and the youngest child was Lawrence (Larry) Glen. Their daughter was Mattie (Matilda?).
I am also searching for information about Washington Holmes, who married Cora Westcott, b. 01/16/1863, d. 03/31/1925. Their children were Ethel Mae Holmes, b. 05/08/1895, d. 09/20/1980, and George Holmes who married Frances ??. They had two sons, Harley and Rex.
Ethel Mae Holmes married Irwin (Ing) Horace Palmer, b. 04/29/1881 in Stockholm, NY, d. 12/01/1947 in Aberdeen, SD. He was a son of Mary and Horace C. Palmer.
I would certainly appreciate any leads you may have.
