Beverly, Louisa Salling was a daughter of Sterling Salling and wife Elizabeth Penn who were married 1836 in Polk Co., Mo. They were living in Barry Co., Mo. 1840 census with 1 female under 5 - that would be Louisa. Monett is in Barry Co. Sterling died before 1850 and his father, Henry was appointed his administrator in Dade Co., Mo.
Henry died shortly after this and the court appointed Joshua Ragsdale administrator for Sterling.
1850 census Dade Co., Mo. lists widow Elizabeth with children: Louisa 12, James 9, William 7, Matilda 4, and Elizabeth 2. Soon after this widow Elizabeth married Jasper P. Lawrence and was in 1860 census Lafayette Twsp., Crawford Co., Ark. JoAnn
