Trina...I have all of the information that you listed.

I have been working on the Burton line for over thirty-five years...someone I once was in contact with who descended from the same Burton family going back into Virginia in 1600's said they did not believe the Richard I pursued/pursing in Orange County, NC was the Richard Burton I was looking for...he was very knowledgable and in fact, wrote the forw ard for the reiussuance of The Burton Chronicles. However, I am still pursing this...

Salling descendants were definitely in Orange County as was a Richard Burton, but I did find a Richard Burton who lived Cumberland Co., NC after date of locating the Richard Burton in Orange this could be the same guy.

How are you related to John Peter Salling, and I assume that you have his journal notes....
