John Peter Salling of Augusta County, Virginia early 1700's had several children.
I am interested in his daughter, Mary Elizabeth who married Richard Burton...she was born ca 1723. Her sister, Catherine born ca 1725, married Henry Fuller.
I have located the Fullers in Orange County, North Carolina and there was a Richard Burton located there at the same time.
I am following the line of Burtons who descend from John Burton of Longfields in 1600's. His descendant, John Pleasant Burton,l migrated to Virginia/North Carolina line along the New River where Richard died and John ultimately migrated to Lawrence County, Indiana in the early 1800's.
I am wondering if John Pleasant's father, Richard, could be the Richard who married John Peter Salling's daughter, Mary Elizabeth?
