Chris, In my vast files of Saling/Salling families I see that your James Henry is in the 1870 census of Walnut Ridge, Lawrence Co., Ark. aged 30 years - born Mo. Wife Susan 21 years old born Ark. Son William E. 2 months born Ark. - and probably James' brother John Salling 18 years old also born in Mo. James Henry should show up in 1850 census (assuming Mo.) as 10 years old - but I have not found him in Mo. Is there anything else you know about James? Have you tried getting a death certificate for him - that should show parents names - and where he was born in Mo. Keep me posted. JoAnn
