Looking for any information connecting William Salisbury, born 1622 Denbighshire Wales, to his actual parents. Who were they? has anyone done any actual research on this matter over the years that proves once and for all who his parents were? I have seen them listed as John, David, and others.
It has been said in various places on the internet, that David had a son John, who had a son John, who came to America and was William's father.
However, upon further digging, it appears that the 2 John's are actually one in the same and NOT two different individuals. Thus leading to much confusion.
For that matter, what proof do we have that John was even the name of William's father?
I have found it interesting that one can easily trace back many generations in Wales, and one can also trace many descendants of William here in America, but yet nobody over the years has been able to make the connection between William of Denbighshire who came to America, and his ancestry? Incredible!
Any thoughts on this problem greatly appreciated.
