I too am looking for more information on Americus Salisbury. I would particularly like to find his parents. My two grand-daughters are descended from Americus' son Thomas and his daughter Rachel. Incidentally, Thomas's middle name was Americus, Hannah's was Frances and John's was Fraser. I had not known of the existance of Mary and as there are several Mary Salisburys at around that time I cannot trace which one it may have been. Also she is not on the 1861 Census so maybe she didn't survive or was by then in service or even married.
