Dr Nathan Salisbury, b. 1816, son Eben Salisbury, b. 1846

We are tracing the family of Thomas Salisbury, born 22 September 1882 in Port LaTour, Nova Scotia. He came to Massachusetts and married Theresa O’Gara in 1911 in Boston.

Thomas’s parents were Eben Salisbury & Emily Jane King, daughter of James R. King and Clarissa Ann Perry.

Eben was born 24 December 1846, supposedly in Maine. His father was Dr. Nathan Salisbury, born about 1816 in the USA – but where? His mother was Sarah Beede (the parents names are from Eben’s death record).

I have not been able to find Eben with his parents on the 1850 census anywhere in the US. Eben and Emily and their children appear in 1881 in Port LaTour. Dr. Nathan was also living in Port LaTour in 1881, with his second wife, Deborah.

Haven’t been able to find death records for Nathan or Deborah.
