Hi Sarah I too am a novice at this but was curious about your message, being a Salisbury myself. I have traced my own family back to Bury St Edmunds, my grandfather being William Thomas Salisbury, born in that town 1.12.1889, and who died in June 1933 (3 wives later!). His father Thomas b 3/9/1867 (or 1/9/1867) was married to Agnes Sicamore in Bury St Edmunds 8/5/1887 and died in March 1947. His father, also William, died some time around the end of the 1914/18 way but that is all I know about him. Seeing as there is a definite Suffolk connection, I wondered whether my branch of the family was the one you were also researching. Does any of this tie up with your information? Are you able to give me any more details of my family prior to my grandfather? I have lots of details of descendants (my grandfather was one of 8 children and he, in turn, had 5 children and at least 20 nieces and nephews - many of them male Salisburys). Would be happy to share what information I have. Regards Allan Salisbury Notify Administrator about this message?
