Hi, l'm new to this site so hi to everyone.
I am something of a novice and l am looking for any info on a Salisbury family who lived around Bury St Edmunds in the 16th century up to the late 1800's.
I have managed to trace this family back to John Salisbury who married Mary Linge in Barrow, Suffolk, England in September 1625, over the next hundred years or so they migrate to the following villages, Fornham st Martin, Great Barton, Little Saxham, Whepstead, Hawstead.
My problem as such is l cannot locate a baptism record for John in or around the parish of Barrow?
I do have copies of wills etc and l believe he may be the son of Edmund & Ann nee Bright who married in 1585, however they baptise one son and then dissapear and l can find no further trace of them?
Can anyone suggest another avenue l might explore?
Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.
