Dear Anna:

The 1887 Eliseo Sr., was my Greatgrandfather...dying in 1938, and buried in our Salinas family plot in Pharr (Hidalgo County), Texas. "Cheo", his son, born 1928, is still alive at age 81, living in the same house in Pharr. Eliseo Sr., did marry Maria Guadalupe de la Luz Cuellar in 1918 and died in 1963. She was born in Magueys, Linares, Nuevo Leon and her parents, Bernabe and Felicitas were both born in Villagran, Tamaulipas, Mexico in 1872 and 1878, respectively. Eliseo Sr., and his 7 siblings were ALL born in Precinct #4 in Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas. So, Anna, are we distantly related? Thank you. I remain,

Very sincerely yours,

Verle E. "Butch" Salinas-Wenneker

PS...I grew up in Pharr, 1948-1969.
