Hello, I have some new information regaring my gggggg grandfather Jose Ignacio Salinas. As I've posted before, he was married to Gregoria Gonzalez & he died on July 5, 1815. He was born between 1735 and 1740. I have been recently told that his father was Jose Javier (Xavier) Salinas and his mother Maria Rosa Longoria. In addition, I have found an entry for him on a website listing his Christening as 1743 Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico but I would like to know where I could go to locate a copy of this christening. I have been told this would be the Guadalajara records. I have also read that his parents were from the Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon area, and were Camargo settlers. Would marriage records also be found in Guadalajara for this region or would they be found in Monterrey. Thank you for your suggestions.
