Hello Victoria, to participate you would need a sample of your Salinas DNA from a male member of this family. Familytreedna is the company that does the testing and they keep the sample for 20 years in case you would want further testing.

You also have the option of testing your mothers side of the family which is the mitochondrial (mtdna) test. We all have this dna passed down to us from our mother. Males do not pass this on. You can use the join code to check the price on this on my webpage.

If there is enough interest I can start a page on this part of our ancestry. Problem is this type of DNA doesn't change enough and can show a common ancestor at a 50% probabity over 30 generations which is too long ago.
