correction: I have found my records and they are conflicting re Sarah Mays, daughter of Richard. The marriage record says that she is Sally Mays and that Richard Mays gave his consent for her to marry Bransford Mays. Bransford's son Charles; records that he supplied for an 1880 census on deaf marriages says that his mother was Sarah Campbell before her marriage, but it also says she was a first cousin to his father.
Nancy Jane Mays had Richard named as her father, and security was posted by William J & Morgan Mays. I believe Morgan was her brother-in-law.
