Reading on old post of yours regarding Wm Sayle....I have that he was a sea captain and was Gov of Bermuda, then Gov of Carolina, and founder of Charlesto(w)n, SC. I have just made the connection of him to the Isle of Man. From an old post of Deborah Shelton Wood's I have that his children were Elisabeth and Wm. Sale born about 1638 in England. My brother-in-law is a descendant of his son Wm (b. 1638) and is the line I'm working on. Do you have any information on Capt Gov Wm Sale that you'd be willing to share, such as when he was born, his wife's name, info prior to him coming to Bermuda about 1630? Thanks very much!
