An update to the previous post.
It know appears that Sarah Rennolds was the second or possibly even the third wife of Anthony Sale. My research shows that William Rennolds died in Caroline County circa 1795-96. So Sarah married Anthony between 1796 and April of 1803 when a law suit was filed in Caroline County listing Sarah. She also appeared in 1804 in Caroline County apparently to choose a guardian. This apparently shows that Anthony Sale came back to Caroline County at some point and married Sarah Rennolds. An April 1806 Chancery suit lists Anthony Sale and Sally living out of the State of Virginia. This may show that Mary Stewart was the second wife and Sarah Rennolds the third wife. Another problem is that about this same time in 1806 several of the Rennolds children were married in Shelby County, Kentucky. Anthony lived in Jefferson County the next county over. This is still a mystery.
