Dandridge Sale owned Rosemont in Essex County. It is the only one of the Sale homes that still exist. It is located just south of Loretto. He also bought Prospect Hill from Muscoe Garnett in 1856. It's 800 plus acre plantation was located just west of his home at Rosemont. The land ajoinded Elmwood. His son, Dr. William Dandridge Sale is buried in the cemetery at Rosemont. Who else is buried there is unknown. His son, William Dandridge Sale was born in 1839, attended the University of Virginia in 1860-61. He was a Physician from Loretto. Charles Jones Sale was born in 1845. University of Virginia in 1863. He was a lawyer from Loretto. Probably had a sister, Lucy Ann Sale who married Robert Saunders and had a son, Robert Dandridge Saunders.
The question I have not answere is who were Dandridge Sale's parents.
