I am trying to find the names of the parents of James B Sale and John S Sale born in Halifax, VA in 1810 & 1805. They married sisters, Frances & Elizabeth Biggs in Halifax, VA in 1832 & 1827. Both families migrated to Carroll Co TN in the late 1840's. I believe the parents of James/John may have migrated from NC. Robert Sailes pops up in Halifax Co, VA on an 1810 tax list and on an 1815 list of landowners of Halifax Co. Does anyone know if there is a connection between Robert Sailes (Sayles) and James/John Sale or where the family came from?
