Are you still researching Sale in Derbyshire/Staffordshire?

I'm looking for a Joseph Sale born around 1807 possibly in Bilston. His son William (one of 9 children by a Martha Truman) is my great grandfather William Truman Sale who was born at Alton Towers on the Earl of Shrewsbury's estate around 1834.

This family supposedly left Derbyshire in the late 1830's and moved to Warwickshire to the Duke of Sutherland's estate, and from there tried their luck in Birmingham running a hotel and corn broking.

Does this match anything or anyone you have.

Of the nine children the only names that were passed down our the family were James, Hannah, Martha, Joseph and our William.
