Thank you Richard. I have the information from the 1880 census, but have not seen the 1900-1910 or 1920 census.
the Simon Sale in the 1880 census at Glasgow city, Illinois was probly my father Uncle. my Father Simon Sale was not born untill 1899 The Andrew Sale mentioned in the 1880 census was probly the link I need. and his and Simon parents would be My ggrand parents.I also found that the first Simon Sale was appointed Postmaster of Renault on January 18, 1886 and I have received info from a book on combined history of Randolf, Monroe and perry counties, Illinois that shows in 1868 that Simon Sale was the proprietor of the steam flouring mill at Glasgow City, and Andrew Sale operated a mercantile business. I have not found any more info on Andrew, or his wife. in 1880 census Andrew was listed as single, liveing with Simon and family.
Out of all 677 mesages on the Sale family form, there is only one that is a direct connection to me. That is message #383 from Debra Marx Bostic dated May 2001 I have replied to her message, but did not receive a reply, and the E-Mail she has listed is not valid any more.
So once agin I want to thank you for your reply. Don Sale
