I am looking for father and mother or ancestors of Simon Sale from Monroe or Randolf counties Illinois. Simon was born april 2,1899 And died March 11,1986 Belleville Ill. He married Stella Godare from Renualt Ill. around 1924.He had a brother Earl, Sisters Matha,Anita, and Lolita who grew up around Renualt,Ill. Simon & Stella's childern were
Robert who died at age 8 than.Greta,Stella,Dennis,Donald,Richard,
and Patrica. He married a second time to Marie Mehan around 1951. they had a daughter Mary. All childern were born and raised in East St, Louis, Illinois. Simon was my father, he would never talk about his parents. I have picked up bits & pices from family members along the way.
How much of the following information is true I don't know
I have heard that his father name might have been Andrew,
who was Jewish and married a none Jew, causing a split from simon's grand parents. he would ony discribe his mother as a Yankee. also I heard he said his grand parent were from Kentucky. I see from other messages that a John Sale from KY. had a daughter Cecelia, married in waterloo
Illinois and died in East St. Louis Ill. Maybe a connection. Waterloo is the county seat for Monroe county. and close to Renualt. but many years ago the court house burnt and the records were destroyed so any person with info, please contact me through this message board, or e-mail me at Dsale5678@charter.net and thank you very much Don Sale
