Hi, Elizabeth --

Do you have any further information on William SALE, father of Mary? My SAYLE / SALE line is my main goal this year and I believe my 4th great grandfather, William E. SAYLE comes from this VA/NC SALE family. Unfortunately, I have no information on him other than that he was the father of my 3rd great grandfather, Thomas S. SAYLE who had a brother Robert L. SAYLE (both married HAYNES women who were related). Robert, according to some census records, was born in NC. After NC, the family was in TN>KY>MO (briefly)& TN again before moving to n.e. TX in 1857. I have more information on Thomas & Robert but am trying to discover which William SAYLE (also shown with an "s" and by various other spellings) was my 4th great grandfather. He would have been born sometime around the mid to late 1770s, but that's just a guess based on the ages of his sons Robert L. and my Thomas S. (b. 1799 & 1808) who both came to Hunt Co, TX. Any help is greatly appreciated and I'm happy to share any info I have that might be helpful. Thanks in advance! --Becky Smith
