Dear Sale researchers,
This site was a complete surprise to me. I descend from Henry Wortham Sale, who married Nancy Boyd Owen Brown in Jefferson Co., Ala.
I have extensive data on his move to Tenn. , his will, census data and a great deal of info on my ancestor, his posthumous son, George Brock Sale who married Lola Wooten .
They lived in Tipton County, Tn. George Brock Sale was a CSA veteran and died in Covington,Tn in 1933.
I would be delighted to be in contact with other SALE kin. Mrs. Dorothy Sale Goodman wrote a SALE book, and I was able to get an unbound copy 15 years or so ago.
George Brock Sale was seeking his ancestry even then (ca 1905) and the author felt Henry W. Sale may have been a son of an Edward Anthony Sale and a Miss O'Neal. No proof of this at all. Does it ring a bell with anyone?
