Hi, Jeff --

I am interested in the name Theophilus in this family. Were Greek names common
as first names in this VA/NC SALE family? There was a Dr. Samuel G. SAYLE
who named his sons Claudius Galon; Samuel Algernon; Argyle; and Arcadius Saul
and I'm wondering if he may connect with this family. Dr. Sam SAYLE also had
daughters Corilla Frances and Mary Celista.

Dr. Samuel SAYLE, b. ca. 1800; died 1834/35; married Olivia Wakefield KING in
Henderson Co, TN, 1826. I believe they lived part of the time in Carroll Co, TN. I
have some further information on his children. Any clues? I guess I'm grasping at
straws. I believe this Dr. Samuel SAYLE was a cousin of my 3rd great grandfather,
Thomas S. (for Samuel, I believe) SAYLE, b. 1808 in KY and married Elizabeth
HAYNES, ca. 1830 in KY or TN; Thomas d. Nov. 5, 1878, Cow Hill, Hunt Co, TX.
(I have more info on him and his children).

Thanks for any clues or ideas!
