From my grandfather's records his grandfather was Silas FAVOR and mother was Nancy/Mary SALES and that she came from Warren Co.KY. From the Jessamine County Kentucky marrages list I found FAVOR, Silas married SALES, Mary on 24 Dec 1811. The story goes that Mary died and left 8 or 9 children to be raised by her mother, Susan/Susannah SALES. William Harvey FAVOR was one of these children; on the 1860 census of Hopkins Co. KY with William H. and wife Artimissa Oldham is a Susan SALES age 78, b-VA and with property valued at 1000/5000. She is also on TAX Roll in the Hopkins Co. area. William H & Artimissa were my greatgrandparents.
I have been looking for the husband of Susan/Susannah Sales. There has to be a probate record in KY on his will, especially since she owned property. I just returned from Salt Lake City, UT and was unable to find any info but did not have the name Lewis SALE to research.
Please keep in touch, it looks like we may have a connection. I have other info to share.
