I am an English researcher looking for descendants of FREDERICK WILLIAM SALE who was born in Broughton (near Kettering) in Northamptonshire (England) in 1871. He married Helen RUSSELL in 1893 and had at least 5 children who were born in England. The family probably emigrated to Canada in about 1905. The children I have are:

Frederick James born 1894
Dennis born 1895
William Henry b 1898
Oliver William b 1898 (?twin)
William Russell b 1903.

I have established that all the boys enrolled in the Canadian Forces during WW1 (as did Frederick William) and Dennis, who had married Ann MUNROE, lost his life, dying on 15 June 1919. He and his parents are buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Welland county Wainfleet township.

Frederick William was my great grandfather's youngest brother.

Also connected to this family was ALEC GEORGE SALE who was born in 1879 and was a cousin to my grandfather and therefore a nephew of the above Frederick. He married Sarah Elizabeth KNIBBS on 31 March 1902 at Keyston in Huntingdonshire and emigrated to Canada sometime after, possibly at the same time as his uncle Frederick. He too served in WW1.

I would like to hear from anyone (Sale or not) descended from these people. I have this Sale line back to about 1690.

Lewis Sale
