This sounds like the branch of Sales who moved upriver from Essex County, and then some (those that went to Alabama) later used the spelling Seale. Do you have that Seale book? I haven't taken the time to pull it out and look for your Lewis in it.... but if this is the right group we'd be talking about very distant cousins. Your Anthony would evidently be the younger brother of my ancestor Cornelius Sale (both sons of the immigrant William Sale).
