From The Sale Tree in America, here is what is noted about Cornelius A. Sale, sixth child of John Sale and Frances Sanders:
Cornelius, b. Mar. 29, 1773.Served in the war of 1812.Never married and at his death was quite will-to-do.Descendants of his slaves who had taken the name Sale were still in Amherst Co. a few years ago.
