I'm sorry to be long in getting back to you with information on Bevill and Tabitha (Sale) Pardue. According to my records, Bevill and Tabitha were married in 1774. This was probably Warren County, North Carolina. Their son, Robert, was born in Warren County, North Carolina in 1780. I wish I knew more but hope this helps.
The Pardues moved from Warren County west to Wilkes County, North Carolina and then on to Tennessee. According to family tradition, most of the people in the country with names such as Pardue, Perdue, Purdue and other variations stem from John Pardue of Amelia, Virginia. At some point your friend with the name of Pardue is probably related to Tabitha and Bevill. It seems that very large families were common among the Pardues.
