My husband's gr. grandfather was Stuart O'Neal Sale, married to Martha O'Neal Fudge with 4 children. I don't have any other information on Stuart. Only that he worked with the railroads and maybe his father also. Stuart went down into Rowan Co. NC with the railroad and moved up near Victoria, VA probably in the early 1900's. I think he may have had brothers named Whitby and Bowman, a sister Daisy, also a brother who died in an early car accident. My husband's father believes that the first Sale of their line to "come over" (England?) was an early frontiersman that was given a grant of land by the governor in Amherst Co. VA in the Lynchburg area. He also thought that the brothers, Whitby and Bowman may have been in the Bassett, VA area and one of them made tools for the furniture making trade. If anyone recognizes these people, I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Terry
