Are you already aware of the writings on this subject in "Traité de Généalogie (Treatise on Genealogy)" by René Jetté (University of Montreal Press, 1991)? René's researches are extensive and well researched, and seem to prove the connection between Jean, son Hector, and Charles de la Tour thru Charles' mother, Marie de Salazar.

For my part, I`m looking for living male Salazar descendants of Jean and Hector who have had "Y chromosome DNA tests" done to determine the ancestry of these de Salazars.

I, among many other people, am a descendant of Charles de la Tour.
