My great grandfather was Trinidad Salazar. He was born on April 16, 1862 in Ciudad Jimenez, Tamaulipas. He came to the Amargosa ranch in the early 1880's and became a pioneer merchant and businessman in Alice, Texas. He owned and operated T. Salazar Store beginning in 1904. He was married to Adelida Bazan and had 3 children: Anastacia, Obdulia and Encarnacion. When his wife died in 1890 he later remarried Guadalupe Pena Rios in 1894 and had 11 more children: Zoila [my grandmother], Beatrice, Sabino, Trinidad Jr., Guadalupe (f.), Olivia, Gabriel, Jesus, Cleotilde, Raul and Bartola.
Any information would be appreciated.
