My grandfather was Arthur Edgerton Sainsbury son of Arthur James Sainsbury and Antonena (nee Skakun) Sainsbury. My Great Grandfather came from England to Canada and was the son of James Arthur Sainsbury and Sarah (nee Janes) Sainsbury. I was told that we are some how related to the Sainsbury's who have the food chain but don't know exactly how. I was also told that one of our relatives Thomas Sainsbury was Lord Mayor of London. My grandfather told me that other brothers of his father went to the Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the USA. I am trying to trace my roots and also put together a family tree. I have very little resources now as my grandfather has past away in June of 1998. You mentioned that you have put together a family tree and would like to know if any of this rings a bell.

David Wayne Sainsbury
