Hello All:
My great grandfather was Raphael Sailer born about 1844. Place unknown.
Married Anne Sailer He immigrated to the US in 1886.
Kaspar Raphael Sailer his son was born April 29th 1861 Place unknown.
Kasparserved 4 years in the German Army and immigrated to the US in 1888
Sophie Sailer (Raphael’s daughter), birthday unknown (1861 +/- 5 years) Place unknown.
I have searched the LDS database and found only one Raphael Sailer
Born: 14 Jul 1805 -Durmentingen, Donaukreis, Wuerttemberg
Marriage: 14 Sep 1830 -Katholisch - Durmentingen, Donaukreis, Wuerttemberg
It is possible that Raphael (1805) could be the father of Raphael (1844). The ages seem about right, However, I am only making a guess at this time.
Does anyone know the address for the church in Durmentingen?
If any of you are doing research in the Durmentingen area, I would appreciate your advice on how to proceed.
