I forgot to mention that the name Sahagun has several branches in Mexico: most come from the native Mexicans that were renamed with Christian names after the Conquest, and the people usually took the last name of the friar who converted them. Other branches come from people who immigrated from Spain into Latin America after World War II (there seemed to be a large influx of Spaniards then).
