Shirley,
Mary Ann was known as Anna Maria Sageser the oldest child of ten to Jacob and Anna Maria Wilheid Sageser. This information was taken from a photo copy of "Sageser Genealogy Decendats of Jacob Sageser Whose will was probated on Aug. 6, 1821 in Fayette Co. KY."

"Jacob Sageser and his wife, Anna Maria, had a child, Anna Maria, baptized in the Old German Reformed Church of Frederick County, Maryland, on Oct. 11, 1771. This is our first record of Jacob."

"Anna Maria Sageser was born Sept.10,1771 to Jacob and Anna Maria Sageser, and baptized on Oct. 11, 1771, according to records of the OLD GERMAN REFORMED CHURCH, Frederick, Maryland."

"In her father's will of 1821, she is called Mary Ann Troutman, deceased. In KENTUCKY PIONEERS AND COURT RECORDS, by McAdams, page 186, it says: "Mary Ann Troutman died." There is no date, but it had to be before 1821, and there is reason to believe that she died before her daughter Polly was married in 1811, as Jacob Sageser (Mary Ann's father) gave his consent to the marriage as Polly's guardian. It appears that Mary Ann's daughters, at least, lived with her parents, the Sagesers, after her death."

"In an article called THE TROUTMAN FAMILIES OF KENTUCKY by Evelyn Crady Adams, which appeared in THE FILSON CLUB HISTORY QUARTERLY for July 1950, page 225, there is an account of the children of Peter and Anna Maria (Miller) Troutman of Frederick Co. Maryland, and it says their son Leonard Troutman married Mary Ann Sageser-Leenup."

"No records of any marriages have been found in Maryland for Mary Ann. It is possible she married in Kentucky but not likely as the above article further says, on page 225:"The migration of Peter Troutman family to Kentucky was piecemeal. The older children led the way in 1790 and Peter and Anna Maria and the others arrived in Bourbon County in 1791." Therefore, Mary probably came to Kentucky before her father's family did in 1796."

"Children of Leonard and Mary Ann Sageser Troutman, as given in her father's, Jacob Sageser, will:
Polly Henning, Berbery Pierce, John Troutman, George Troutman, Fanny Troutman, and Elizabeth Troutman."

"Loree V. Lee of Idaho, a descendant of Daniel Sageser, had access to all the LDS records of Kentucky collected at Salt Lake City, and sent the following records of the marriages of Polly and Barbery Troutman:

Polly Troutman married Daniel Haning on June 5, 1811 in Fayette Co.KY under the name of Polly Sageser. Jacob Sageser was bondsman for Polly Sageser and the record also says: "Consent for the bride was given in person by gurdian, Jacob Sageser."

Barbery Troutman married Jacob Pierce on Dec. 25, 1812, under the name of Barbery Sageser. Benjamin Hardesty and Daniel Sageser were bondsmen for Barbara. This was also in Fayette Co., KY and Daniel and Benjamin were Uncles of Barbara and lived close to old Jacob Sageser."

"No contact could be made with living descendants of Mary Ann Troutman."

This is the end of the section for Mary Ann, I hope it helps you in your search.
