In the early 1940's, their 6 children were placed in Foster care and 3 later were adopted from the Annie Wittenmyer Home in Des Moines, Iowa.
The 3 oldest,Naomi, Mary and Jimmy kept in contact with each other. Jimmy was in the Korean War and lost his life in Korea.
the 3 youngest, Erma Lorraine ca age 6, Bertha Charlotte ca age 3, and Teddy who was a baby were placed for adoption.
All of the surviving children have been in contact with each other except Erma Lorraine...they are very desirous of finding her &her family and having contact with them.
