I have a Henry Sagel, who signed his will "Henrik Segar" when he died in 1824.He was born about 1770 in Quebec (we believe). He married Susannah Unknown who appears to be French (and Methodist).Henry and Susannah moved from Quebec to Ontario alson with the Boisvert family in the early 1800s.They had at least 4 children:Henry Jr., b. abt 1790;Catherine, b. abt 1798; Peter, b. abt 1802;and Abigail, b. abt 1801 (of whom I descend). My notes indicate that Henry died in King Twp., York Co., ONT (near Toronto). In the 1837 Directory for the Toronto there is listed:
Henry Sagle, Conc. 3, Lot 20, King Twp., York Co
Peter Sagle, Conc. 2, Lot 7, King Twp., York Co.
Catherine married Philip Boisvert abt 1812 in King Twp.
Abigail married Nathan Pegg about 1817 in York Co.,ONT.She was born 1801 and died in 1861.They had 6 children and I have more info on them if you wish...
Let me know if you think this is the same line.
