"William Saufley was the oldest son of George Saufley, born July 27th, 1808 near Sunny Side, Rockingham Co., Va. On the farm now owned by Luther Saufley. GRandfather Saufley was married to Margaret Altaffer, Nov. 25th, 1830.
Margaret Altaffer parents were Joseph Altaffer and Margaret Sievely dau of Joseph Sievely and Catherine a sister to Ann Sievely who married George Safley
