Drury and Martha Saffold were married somewhere in Georgia about 1838 and moved to Tallapoosa Co AL, where Drury died in the 1860s. Some of their children later moved into Talladega Co AL. Drury parentage is not certain, but he was born in NC about 1760 according to 2 census records, which seems to make him a grandson of William and Temperance Saffold, the only Saffolds known to have lived in NC at that time. William and Temperance both died in SC. They had several sons, with the most likely candidate for Drury's father being Daniel Saffold. I can give you more information and also put you in touch with other descendents of Drury.
